22331-0700 A -- BAA FORWARD LOOKING MINE DETECTION SENSORS AMENDMENT SOL
DAAB07-97-R-BAA4 DUE 072597 POC Ricky Stanfield, Project Engineer,
703-704-2452 and Peggy Melanson, Contracting Officer, 703-325-6096 This
notice is the first amendment to DAAB07-97-R-BAA4, originially posted
in the CBD on 6 May 1997. The notice is clarify that part of the
original announcement reading: "While one or more 12 month R&D efforts
with phased decision points may be awarded in FY98, the Government
reserves the right to award contracts as a result of this announcement
for two years from the receipt of proposals.". The intent of this
sentence is to put offerors on notice that no awards will be made in
FY97, rather multiple awards may be made in FY98 or in FY99. Funding is
programed for a 36 month effort with technical/program milestone
reviews and funding decision points at 12 month intervals. Contract
award(s) may be incrementally funded. The reference to DTIC Form 271 is
deleted. Contractor format for the project data sheet is acceptable.
Finally, that sentence reading "Both detection and neutralization
should occur at standoff distances up to 60 meters." is changed to read
"Detection should occur at standoff distance up to 60 meters, but with
emphasis on detection between 15 and 25 meters." (0181) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0002 19970702\A-0002.SOL)
