The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) intends to issue a soliciation on or about June 30, 1997 on USAID's internet address is HTTP://www.info.usaid. USAID is seeking a contractor to deliver a minumum of 35,000,400 cycles of oral contraceptives to be delivered in calendar year 1998. The contract would include within year options for delivery of up to 100% more and also options to extend the contract for up to an additional 4 years. The Oral Contraceptives must have an approved New Drug Application from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Offerors shall submit evidence that such approval has been obtained. Products shall be in compliance with applicable FDA regulations governing delivery into interstate commerce. Tablets shall be of the shape and dimensions of the offeror's normal, standard commercial tablet. Each tablet may bear the identifying imprints of its manufacturer. Colors of contraceptives and iron tablets may be similar to offeror's normal, standard commercial tablet. The 28tablets included in monthly cycles shall consist of 21 tablets containing an estrogen and progestin and 7 tablets containing iron.
