Danner, Health Systems Mgr-718-630-3550 The Department of Veterans Affairs, New York/New Jersey Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 3), is seeking a qualified firm with experience in the development of patient transportation systems in the New York and New Jersey area. Services necessary are to perform a review of the patient transportation systems within the network and make recommendations to implement an integrated patient transportation system of patients in the following facilities: Bronx, NY; Brooklyn, NY; Castle Point, NY; East Orange, NJ; Lyons, NJ; New York, NY; Northport, NY and St. Albans (Queens), NY. Included with the major medical and extended care facilities, are numerous satellite facilities/clinics throughout the network. The network specifically desires studies/recommendations related to the integration of public transportation within the Metro-New York and extended areas to the needs of the VA. A study of the referral patterns and "traffic corridors" will be required. Recommendations, implementation plans and implementation costs will be a requirement as a final result of the contract.
