Collins, Contracting Officer (360) 396-0266. The work includes all labor, materials and equipment to provide a new environmental test facility which includes the construction of two buildings. One is a 1,907 square meter pre-engineered metal building on slab-on-grade. The other building is a 667 square meter cast-in-place concrete structure. Each building has two bridge cranes. Site work includes new underground high voltage electrical service, outdoor HV switchgear and pad mounted transformers, underground ducts and manholes; extension of existing storm sewer and sanitary sewer connection; excavation and earthwork for foundation; paving of roads and parking lots. Mechanical includes process cooling with chillers, condensers, design, cooling tower, storage tank and piping; low and high pressure compressed air systems and incidental related work. Work also includes relocating government equipment from building No. 15 and No. 24 at NUWC, Keyport, WA, and demolition of building No. 24 and incidental related work. During performance of this work, asbestos, hazardous waste, or pollution abatement may be encountered. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1541. The related small business size standard is $17 million. Contract completion time is 586 days. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 17 July 1997. There will be a non-refundable charge of $163.00 for plans and specifications. Plans and specifications have been placed on compact disk (CD-ROM) and will be distributed along with the printed paper copy. All software necessary to view and print the specifications and drawings will be included on the CD. Minimum suggested system requirements to view the bid package on CD are 486 or greater, 16MB of RAM, and compact disk drive. Notification of amendments shall be made on printed paper copy only.
