The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1542 with a standard size of $17.0M. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 with a performance period of 365 calendar days. The work in general includes but not limited to enclosing the existing Sally Port to create a new Lobby and entrances to the north side of the building, new sidewalks with curbing, ramps and handrails, construction of a new elevator and an elevator penthouse, minor demolition before renovating interior work areas, installation of new ceiling tiles, new lighting and carpeting, as well as a new fire alarm and fire suppression system for the entire building complete with new exit signs. Also, a new power distribution system which includes utility connections, electrical transformers and communicationswiring throughout the building, new HVAC system composed of heat pump units, new paint throughout building, installation of security systems in portions of the building, provide handicap accessibility at all entrances required by UFAS including restroom renovations, and provide hazardous material abatement of asbestos and lead-based paint as required for the renovation of the areas identified in the solicitation. Please note that funds are not presently available, but have been requested. This IFB is based upon your understanding that (1) funds are not available and (2) if funds do not become available, no obligation will be incurred by the Government because of this IFB.
