J-SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE MAINTENANCE The Government intends to negotiate sole source contract(s) under the authority of FAR 6.302, with Silicon Graphics Incorporated (SGI), Houston, TX, for software and hardware maintenance support of SGI computer equipment. The scope of the project will be for maintenance of software and hardware for SGI computer equipment for a period of performance of one year beginning 1 Oct 97. Should offers be received from other than sole source, Silicon Graphics, Inc., the Government will consider all costs during the evaluation with award made to the lowest total evaluated cost to the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to date of closure will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
