This procurement is for the purchase, delivery and installation of the following items: ITEM 0001 (3 each) Explorer Type Playground Systems (Capacity-accomadates up to 35 children with skill levels 2 to 12 years, playstructure-27 feet X 21 feet, use zone-41 feet X 35 feet. Requested colors are blue sides and roof, yellow upper area, green lower area, yellow components, and tan posts. ITEM 0002 (3 each) Free Standing Oval Slide Tubes. Requested color is teal. Dimensions are Deck 72", Size 3' X 18'8". ITEM 0003 (4 each) Free Standing Oval-S Shaped Slide Tubes. Requested color is orange. Dimensions are Deck 72", Size 3' X 18'6". ITEM 0004 (4 each) Free Standing Lightning Slide. Requested color is yellow. Dimensions are Deck 60", Size 3' X 18'9". ITEM 0005 (15 each) Splash Proof Pliable Molded Rubber Belt Type Swing Seats. ITEM 0006 (9 each) Splash Proof Pliable Molded Rubber Infant Swing Seats. ITEM 0007 (48 each) Single Hanger Durable Split-Clamp Fittings Swing Hangers. ITEM 0008 (48 each) 3/8" diameter Zinc-Plated Steel "S" Hooks. ITEM 0009 (500 linear feet) Galvanized Swing "O" Straight-Link Chain. The following items shall be used as a guide for items that are requested to be on the playground system: two slides, four 90 degree crawl tubes, tic-tac-toe type of activity panel, beanstalk climber, chatterbox (telephone type talk tube), eight pipe wall barriers, store front panel, two bubble panels with steering wheels, one plastic roof, one doorway to upperdeck, one ladder climber, and one mirror panel. **NOTE** The items list above shall only be used as a guide and should not be used as an all inclusive list of items. SUPPORT POSTS shall be fabricated from 2-3/8" O.D. 12-guage galvanized steel tubing. Tubing has an average tensile strength of 55,000 psi, and an average yield point of 50,000 psi. Shall be finished with a baked-on powder coating.; STEEL TUBING-Tie Rods, Climbing Rungs, Chinning/Turning Bars, Activity Barriers, Slide Barriers, and Pipe Wall Barriers shall be fabricated of 1-1/16" O.D. 14-guagegalvanized steel tubing. Sliding Poles, Handrails for Swinging Bridge, and Chain Net Anchor Rods shall be fabricated of 1-5/8" O.D. 13-guage galvanized steel tubing. Parallel Bars shall be fabricated of 1-5/8" O.D. 13-guage galvanized steel tubing.; ATTACHMENT FITTINGS: Pipe Clamps, Tee Fittings, Swing Hangers, and Deck Hangers shall be cast of high-tensile strength Almag alloy aluminum. Deck Hangers and Pipe Clamps shall be hinged on one side to facilitate installation. Swing Hangers shall be fitted with an oil-impregnated bronze bearing. VINYL-COATED COMPONENTS: Vinyl-coated perforated steel decks, arch bridge, and enclosed stairs shall be all-welded assemblies consisting of 12-guage hot rolled, picked, and oiled metal, steel side supports, and flat support bars. Entire weldment shall have a polyvinyl chloride vinyl finish. SLIDES: Steel Slides shall be manufactured from one-piece 16-guage 304-2B stainless steel with 1" O.D. stainless tubing welded to side channels for support. Plastic Tube Slides, 90-degree Turn Slides, Lightning Slides, and Spiral Slides shall be linear low-density polyethlene, which contains UV inhibitors and ressists fading. Plastic Panels shall be rationally molded linear low-density polyethlene, which contains UV inhibitors and resists fading. Plastic Roof shall be one-piece, vacuum-formed from 3/16" thick linear low-density polyethlene sheet, which contains UV inhibitors and resists fading. CHAIN: Swing Chain shall be 4/o chain with a polyester dry-powder finish. Balance Chains and Chain Net Climber shall be 5/0 chain with yellow vinyl coating. Swinging Bridge Support Chains shall be 5/16" galvanized. Exterior Finish, all to be powder coated shall be free of excess weld and weld spalls after fabrication. Prior to powder coating, all components shall be cleaned with a three-step process which includes a rust-inhibiting iron phosphate wash. Powder coating shall be electrostatically applied and oven cured at temperatures between 375 degrees and 400 degrees F. The polyester powder shall comply with ASTM standards: B-117 (salt spray resistance test), D-2794 (impact resistence test), D-1734 (mandrel flexibility test), D-2247 (humidity resistance test), D-822 (weatherability test), D-3363 (pencil hardness test), D-3359-B (crosshatch adhesion test), and D-2454 (overbake resistance test). Epoxy or hybrid paints are not acceptable. Enclosed Stairs shall be fabricated of one-piece perforated metal step plate, with 11-guage hot-rolled steel plate side rails. Entire weldment shall be coated with yellow plastisol vinyl. SURFACE MOUNT SPECIFICATIONS: The 2-3/8" O.D. galvanized steel tubing support post shall have a 10"-square X 3/8"-thick hot-rolled steel plate base with predrilled holes for surface mount hardware welded to the bottom. The surface mount support posts shall be designed to provide required deck heights and component attachments. Entire support post assembly shall have a powder-coated surface. All items are to be delivered to the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California. Quotes will be accepted on a F.O.B. Destination basis only. Quotes must be received to the above listed address by close of business 1630 PST, 11 July 1997. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside.
