Anticipate multiple award contracts, task orders will be issued for individual projects. Work includes, but is not limited to: surveying, clearing and grubbing, excavation, embankment, installing new culverts, riprap head walls and outlet aprons, construction of a reinforced soil embankment utilizing geogrid material and select backfill, drilling and shooting, furnish and place crushed aggregate and hot bituminous plant mix, seeding and fertilizing. Contractors will be asked to give prices on a "Sample Project". We intend to have two groups of awardees, $90,000 and over (Bonded Contractors) and $25,000 to $90,000 (Payment Protection). Awards will be zoned; North Skills Center (Randle/Packwood RD) and Central and South Skill Centers (Mount St. Helens, Mt. Adams and Wind River Ranger Districts). A Pre-Proposal meeting will be held Wednesday, June 25 at 10:00 at the new Gifford-Pinchot Forest Headquarters Office main conference room. (0171)
