Ulmer, 423/751-3607, fax 423/751-7606 The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has a requirement for an on-site inspector to represent TVA, the owner, during a grouting program, at Tims Ford Dam. The grouting is for remediation of rim leakage. The program includes drilling and grouting in karstic limestone rock to a depth of about 100 feet. There are well defined but irregular seepage paths containing significant velocities of seepage. TVA anticipates using various cementitious grouts for the treatment. Tims Ford Dam is located on the Elk River in middle Tennessee near the town of Winchester. The grouting will begin the first of October, 1997, and must be completed by the end of December, 1997. Please note that both TVA and its maintenance partner also plan to submit proposals. (0170)
