96 -- SCRAP METAL REMOVAL AND SALE SOL PCC-EXD-0227 DUE 072997 POC Tere Abadia, Contract Specialist, (507) 272-3023, Enrique Marquez, Contracting Officer, (507) 272-4650 The Panama Canal Commission will have available for sale approximately 3,000 tons of scrap metal (1/4" thick and up) and an estimate of 30 tons of scrap metal (1/4" thick and down) of cast steel and machinery cast. The scrap metal is offered for sale "as is" and "where is". The contractor will be required to remove the scrap from different PCC locations. The contract will be in effect for a base period begining on October 1, 1997 to September 30, 1998 and it will include an option to extend the contract for an additional period NTE one (1) year.
