Botella, (215) 233-6551, fax (215) 233-6558, Eileen LeGates, Contracting Officer The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), intends to negotiate solely with Bio-Rad Laboratories in Hercules, California to furnish and deliver FOB Destination to the USDA, ARS, Eastern Regional Research Center, in Wyndmoor, (Philadelphia), Pennsylvania, for a CHEF Mapper XA Chiller System, 120 volts. This system will be used to perform pulse-field gel electrophoresis used for molecular typing analysis. The CHEF Mapper XA Chiller System includes CHEF Mapper XA Power Module with embedded auto algorithm for protocol optimization; Interactive Algorithm Program Disc; Bar Code Reader; Electrophoresis Cell; Mdl 1000 Mini Chiller Cooling Module; Variable Speed Pump; Temperature Probe; 12 feet of Tygon tubing; 14 cm. wide x 12.7 cm. long Casting Stand; Ten (10) Well Comb and Comb Holder; Ten (10) Well Sample Plug Mold; Leveling Bubble; Cables, S. cerevisiac Standards; 5 grams Chromosomal Grade Agarose; and instructions. This system also includes: A Gel Doc 100 UV Gel Documentation System/PC, 120 Volts which consists of a Mini-Transilluminator, Fluorescent Darkroom, CCD Intergrating Camera with Zoom Lens, Integrating Cable, Digitizing Card, Molecular Analyst/PC:UV Gel Documentation Software and Instruction Manual; a Mitsuubishi P68U Video Printer 100/120 volts; and Molecular Analyst Fingerprinting PC Software. The system includes a one year parts and labor warranty on the equipment. Companies with the demonstrated capability to provide and service such equipment must submit a written substantive statement outlining the Company's and systems' capabilities to the Contracting Officer within 15 days of publication of this notice.
