JOB ORDER CONTRACT (JOC), Construction/Repair Requirements for Government Medical and Other facilities within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District. This solicitation is unrestricted. This proposed contract is an indefinite-quantity, indefinite-delivery contract which intended to provide rapid response to maintenance, repair and minor construction relating, but not limited to civil, architectural mechanical, plumbing, structural, electrical, HVAC, instrumentation, security and safety of medical facilities, primarily MEDCOM, and other Government facilities in a cost effective manner. The proposed contract shall also be used for various other Government facilities in areas within the boundaries of the US Army Engineer Division, Pacific Ocean, including the various civil works areas in the Honolulu Engineer District. Government medical facility major repair and minor construction shall conform to the requirements of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), Guidelines for Construction and Equipment of Hospital and Medical Facilities, and Accreditation Manual for Hospitals. It is anticipated that approximately 25 percent of the work may be for non-medical facility remediation (Repair/Renovation). The duration of the contract will initially be a 12-month period with options for two (2) additional years. The dollar value of the contract during the basic period is a guaranteed minimum of $98,000 with an estimated maximum of $4,900,000. If options are exercised, the guaranteed minimum and the estimated maximum for each option period are $49,000 and $4,900,000, respectively. Solicitation to be issued O/A July 7, 1997.
