Ketchum (703) 602-7707 B-The Program Executive Office for Undersea Warfare (PEO(USW)), Submarine Regional Warfare Systems Office (SRWS, PMS415), Arlington, VA extends an invitation to industry to provide a review of technology development associated with Submarine Regional (or Defensive) Warfare. This review is being conducted in support of the Near Ship Battlespace Dominance (NSBD) Working Group of the Submarine Payload Systems Oriented Integrated Product Team (SOIPT). The NSBD working group would like to give Industry the opportunity to provide related briefings on any IR&D efforts they believe are relevant to this working group. The morning of 18th of July is set aside for individual companies to provide such briefings on a first-come, first serve basis at no cost to the government. Twenty minutes is allocated, limiting the number of companies to twelve. The session will start at 0800 and end as 1200. The briefing will be held in Crystal City, with government only attendees. If there are more interested companies thancan be accommodated, we will consider extending the session. A schedule of briefings and location will be sent to participants prior to the meeting. For clarification, the Submarine Near Ship Battlespace is understood as the area in the immediate vicinity of the submarine, nominally below the surface within 5NM and above the surface within 15NM. The NSBD WG does not consider torpedoes, missiles, or Unmanned Undersea Vehicles during their reviews. Countermeasures, counterweapons, and associated launchers (CSA Mk2) explicitly fall within it's purview. "Out of the box' technical approaches are welcome. The working group is charged with evaluating ongoing efforts and recommending to the Payload SIOPT the relative priorities of these programs, within the Submarine Technology program. The working group will meet on 17 July to review the following ongoing Navy Programs: Countermeasure Technologies, ONR, Affordable Common Countermeasure Technologies, NUWC, Torpedo Defense Counterweapon Technology, ONR/PSU, ATT ATD, ONR/PSU, SMTD PMS415 Submarine High Speed Offensive CM (SHOCM), PMS415, Supercavitating High Speed Bodies, NUWC, "Green" Gas Generator, NUWC, BAH Air Bag Launcher, NUWC, Elastomeric Ejection System for Cms, NUWC, MEMS, NSWC, C303/S FCT, UWC/PMS415, See Numbered Note(s) (0169)
