R -- SOLICITATION FOR REQUEST OF QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSULTING SERVICES TO ADVISE THE ROCKY FLATS FACILITIES AND INFRASTRUCTURE TRANSITION TASK FORCE. DUE 071597 POC Point of Contact -- Mari Margio, Phone (303) 940-6090, Fax (303) 940-6088 The Rocky Flats Local Impacts Initiative (RFLII) is the designated Community Reuse Organization for the Rocky Flats Environmental technology Site (RFETS). The RFETS is a former U.S. Department of Energy nuclear weapons production facility near Denver, Colorado, currently undergoing cleanup. Kaiser-Hill, L.L.C. is the primary operating contractor at RFETS. RFLII seeks descriptions of qualifications for consulting services to advise the Rocky Flats Facilities and Infrastructure Transition Task Force. The Task Force will work with DOE and Kaiser Hill to develop recommendations for future use of Rocky Flats facilities and infrastructure to create an Environmental Technology Center once cleanup is completed. The Task Force will be composed of designated representatives from DOE; Kaiser-Hill; the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency; county, city, and state offices; the local business community; and interested public interest groups. The work of the Task Force will begin in July 1997 and is expected to continue through March 1998. Necessary qualifications include: experience working with all levels of government, interest groups, and the public; experience with sustainable economic development, cluster economies, and the land use planning; experience with the redevelopment of federal facilities and/or contaminated sites; economic cost-benefit analysis, feasibility study capability, and public finance strategies, and a familiarity with environmental technology sector businesses. Please provide descriptions of related projects and experience and qualifications of project principals. Please also include a description of other services provided such as GIS, graphics, environmental compliance, architecture and design, engineering, marketing, and industrial real estate.
