Murray, SEA 02542, (703) 602-8000, ext 548 The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a sole source contract to Hughes Aircraft Company, Naval and Maritime Systems, 1901 W. Malvern Avenue, Fullerton, CA 92634-3310, for adaptation of the Advanced Combat Direction System (ACDS) Block 1 configuration for the CVN-68 and LHD-7 ship classes, including hardware; and options for the integration of ACDS and the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) MK 1 into and Integrated Combat Direction System (ICDS) for the CVN-76 and the LPD-17 ship classes; ACDS/SSDS engineering support; ICDS sustaining engineering support; risk reduction engineering for future ship class introduction; data and initial spares. The period of performance is through April 1999. A written proposal is being sought with an anticipated award date of 31 July 1997.
