CLEAN AND LINE POTABLE WATER MAINS at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland. Work operations consist of in-place cleaning of 300mm, 250mm, 150mm, and 100mm cast and ductile iron water mains. In addition, furnish and replace all existing in-line gate valves within the pipe relining limits, fire hydrant and service connection valves where indicated on contract drawings, and accompanying valve boxes. The installation of cut-in valves are required in some areas to isolate pipe sections for cleaning and lining. Also included is the installation of a new section of 250mm ductile iron pipe, two 250mm gate valves, and appurtenances in one area. Furnish, install and remove temporary by-pass piping with service hoses and accessories and temporary valves and fire hydrants in accordance with the contract documents.
