81 -- CONTAINER SOL n/a POC Contact Point: Vickie Edgar (717) 790-5623 The Naval Inventory Control Point is interested in evaluating reusable, collapsible, bulk containers for shipping supplies to Navy Fleet customers. Container design and performance requirements shall meet, but are not limited to, the following: Size- 40" X 48" X 40", 2,000 pound load capacity, sling extensions to accommodate handling by sling hoist for ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore transfer, stackable, side access doors, top cap secure closure, weather resistanct, long life cycle, and withstand climatic environments (-35 to 165 degrees fahrenheit). A meeting is scheduled for 24 June in Norfolk to discuss Navy requirements and reivew vendor proposals.
