System shall consist of a UT tank, a four axis electromechanical manipulator (three linear axes and a part rotator), a two axis manual angulator, UT instrumentation, a motion control and data acquisition system, UT data image display, and UT data image hard copy output. System shall tolerate a duty cycle of up to 20 hours per day, 6 days per week. All components shall operate at no more than 80% of their rated capacity. All components shall be readily accessible for maintenance. Safety devices shall be provided for all parts of the system. System shall run off 110 VAC, single phase, 60 Hz electric power and shall meet or exceed all applicable federal, state, and local codes and standards. Electromechanical subsystem shall provide variable indexing from at least 0.001" to 1.0". Resolution of index shall be 0.001". Position accuracy shall be +/-0.005" per foot of distance traveled. Repeatability of position parameters shall be +/- 0.005". The part rotator shall provide rotation of the part at variable speeds, up to 30 RPM. The rotation speed shall be user selectable in increments no larger than 5 RPM. System shall provide an inspection envelope of 36"X24"X24". The frequency range of the UT instrument shall be from 1 to 25 Mhz in broadband setting, and have additional selectable settings of at least 1, 2.25, 5, 10, and 15 Mhz. The UT instrument shall provide a square wave pulser with a range of -100 to -400 volts DC. The system shall be supplied with one ultrasonic channel; expandable to at least four channels. Instrument shall have at least four gates per channel, with an alarm for each gate. System shall be able to acquire at least two data points in every 0.020 inches, regardless of speed or direction of scan. Data storage shall be a minimum of a removable 100 megabyte capacity (zip) drive. Installation required at Naval Weapons Station Concord. Offer shall also include test plan for performance and acceptance testing, training, operating and maintenance manuals with recommended maintenance, schedule, and spare parts list.
