Higginbotham (205) 235-7323 (Site Code DAAC01) The contractor shall be responsible for all plant, labor and materials required for complete installation of a stationary Trichloroethylene vapor-spray, steam heated degreaser system. The degreaser system shall be used for the removal of grease, oil and dirt from metal and other surfaces. The contractor shall be responsible for complete installation and ensuring that the installation is compatible with the existing facilities. The contractor shall install and test the machine. After testing and installation, the contractor shall ensure that the machine is ready for operation in accordance with the specifications. The system shall consist of cleaning tank, freeboard refrigeration system (chiller), superheated vapor zone, solvent recovery still, solvent storage tank, floor grating, associated with piping, controls and pumps. The contractor shall deconta minate, cut into pieces and place into containers, provided by the govern ment, the existing degreaser and still along with associated piping and solventstorage tank. The vapor degreaser shall provide a vapor zone that is approximately 25 ft long, 5 ft wide and 7 ft deep. The system shall be capable of operating with Trichloroethylene. One Each. THIS REQUIREMENT IS SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS. Completion time is 90 calendar days from date of award (including installation). This procurement is 100% small business set-aside.
