Synopsis 97-21: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, incidental engineering, and transportation, unless otherwise specified herein, necessary to maintain rail facilities as described herein. The requirements include performing emergency and routine service work; preventive maintenance; implementing a facilities inspection program; preparing estimates. The Contractor shall perform indefinite quantity work items of repair. The solicitation is to obtain preventive maintenance, repair and alteration services for rail facilities at the Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, Seal Beach, California by means of a firm fixed price and indefinite quantity type contract. Performance time will be 365 days, commencing 15 calendar days after award. Bids will be considered from all responsible sources. The proposed contract is restricted. The Standard Industrial Classification Code 7699. The related small business size is $5 million. NOTE Plans and Specifications will not be mailed to firms within a 20 mile radius of the issuing office. Solicitation packages may be acquired in person from Plan Issue or by mail.
