The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms for the provision of technical assistance and training to support microcredit delivery in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The purpose is to increase access to credit for microenterprises, with special attention to female clients, and to develop long-term sustainable sources of financial services for microenterprises. USAID/West Bank & Gaza is contemplating an institutional contract for a two year period to procure: 1) the services of a resident advisor with experience in the application of microcredit technology, and a small support staff, 2) the installation of microcredit software within participating commercial banks, and associated training, 3) recruitment, training and supervision of field loan officers, 4) activity monitoring and evaluation services, and 5) related research.
