POC Mr. Peter Newell, (503) 945-3763 Request two (2) used 45 foot
insulated trailer vans (refer vans) with the following modifications
and specifications: (a) Trailers must be "road ready" with functional
brakes and lights (12 volt) with minimum wear on tires. (b) Trailers
must not leak or have any rust damage, i.e.: Seams, welds, corners and
boxed areas (ceiling & walls) must be completely free of rust. Any
seam beginning to split or expand must be repaired, as well as metal
surfaces that have begun to pit or flake. (c) Trailers must be free of
all gouges and holes. (d) Trailers must have wooden flooring. (e) Each
trailer will have one (1) wall mounted, ductless, BTU, 220 volt single
phase, dual based air conditioner/heater installed with the following:
(1) operation mode setting (heat, auto, cool/dry) (2) temperature
setting (3) self diagnostic display (4) room temperature display (5) 24
hour on/off timer (6) fan speed indicator (7) louver control (adjust
air flow L to R) (8) memory ( for storing operating functions) (9) unit
to beplaced on left side of trailer in center (f) Three (3) hollow,
insulated doors with a minimum of 32 inches wide by 85 inches high.
Doors are to spaced evenly on the right side of each unit, (one door in
center of side with one door near the front and the other near the
rear). (g) Silver top coating on top of each van to assure continued
dryness. (h) Trailers are to be inspected and accepted by Oregon Army
National Guard representative prior to commencement of modifications of
each unit. (i) The due date for bids is not later than close of
business (4:30 p.m.) 27 June 1997. Performance period will be 15
calendar days. Trailers are to be delivered to Camp Withycombe,
Clackamas, Oregon by 23 July 1997, and be inspected for final

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared
in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented
with additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the solicitation; proposals are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued (ii) The soliciation number and
a statement that the solicitation is issued as a request for proposal
(RFP). (iii) A statement that the solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular (vi) Description of requirements for the items to
be acquired (vii) Date(s) and place(s) of delivery and acceptance and
FOB point. (viii) A statement that the provision at 52.212-1.
Instructions to offerors- commercial, applies to this acquisition and
a statement regarding any addenda to the provision. (x) A statement
advising offerors to include a completed copy of the provision at
52.212-3. Offeror Representations and Certifications- Commercial Items,
with its offer. (xi) A statement that the clause at 52-212-4, Contract
Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition
