The Social Security Administration (SSA) plans to issue a competitive 8(a) solicitation for acquisition of clerical/file support services at the SSA Megasite Folder Storage Facility at 2255 Rolling Run Drive, Baltimore, MD 21244. The requirement will be processed as a Commercial Item acquisition and will be subject to FAR Part 12. The clerical/file support services will include, but are not limited to, storage, dropfile, retrieval, inactivation, validation, sequencing and expansion. The base period of performance shall be one year from date of award with provisions for an additional four one-year option periods. The requirement will be processed through the Small Business Administration (SBA) and has been set-aside for the 8(a) program. The procurement is limited to minority and disadvantaged business concerns in all stages of development. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification Code is 7338 with average annual receipts not exceeding $5.0 million for the preceding three years. Interested 8(a)firms are encouraged to request a copy of the solicitation as expeditiously as possible since the solicitation will be issued without further notice upon SBA acceptance of the requirement for the section 8(a) program. It is anticipated that a Request for Proposal will be issued on or about July 7, 1997, with proposals due 30 days later. Only written requests for the solicitation will be honored.
