THIS IS A REQUEST FOR TECHNICAL INFORMATION, MARKET SURVEY. Do not send pricing information in your response; this is not a request for proposals. This is a repeat announcement of a notice posted on the DISA World Wide Web site on 10 April 1997. Due to limited response, this notice is republished in its entirety in the Commerce Business Daily. The Government is seeking sources for the equipment described herein. Please provide copies of your technical literature describing performance characteristics of your products. Information should be provided regarding any Federal Supply Schedule (GSA Schedule) contracts you may hold for equipment of this type, as well as any open, unexercised options with Government agencies. All responses are to be sent in hard-copy by mail to the above address not later than 17 June 1997. If your equipment does not meet all of the technical requirements listed herein, please send what you do have for evaluation. THIS IS INFORMATION THE GOVERNMENT IS USING TO PUT TOGETHER A REQUIREMENTS PACKAGE; INPUT ON FEATURES OFFERED BY YOUR PRODUCTS IS CRITICAL FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO BALANCE ITS NEEDS WITH FEATURES AVAILABLE FROM INDUSTRY. Your response is to be forwarded by not later than 17 June 1997 to the address previously shown. The estimated procurement qty. is 300 each for both items. The technical requirements sought are as follows: Top Level Requirements (TLR) for VHF base stations include: APCO 25 compliant; Analog compatible; Capable of operating on three different frequencies simultaneously with a 40 watt RF output: Each frequency channel must be capable of operation in DES type III and clear voice independent of the operation of the other installed channels; Remote control via standard measured business (MB) line, ISDN, ETC., provide individual telephone company access for each frequency channel, and operate with dry pair; Provide both simplex and duplex operation independently controlled for each frequency; operate on selectable input voltage, 110/220 VAC, 50/60 HZ; Easily transportable by two people and installed in three hours with the equipment not to exceed 75 pounds with shipping container; Easily programmed with new operating frequencies; An auto-tuning coupler to provide output to a single antenna, with the capability of bypassing the coupler; Remote adjustment and monitoring of equipment status and parameters. TLR's for control console must include: Operation will be laptop personal computer (PC) which is Oracle based; Encryption/decryption will be resident in the PC (DES, DES XL); Right input/output (modems) to remote sites via MB, ISDN, etc.; On line diagnostics of remote site status (FORWARD/REFLECTED POWER, etc.); On screen indication of site status (color change for transmit, receive, coded or clear); On line adjustments of line parameters; Internal audio board with input from desk microphone and headset, and output to speaker and headset; Routing and auxiliary MB to and selected site (phone patch); Be able to operate as a stand alone viaMBor dry pair (leased line); Be able to disable on-line functions (supervisor/nonsupervisor positions); Must provide the capability to record communications traffic to disk and cassette tape. Top Level Requirements for the VHF Receiver Pack include: Modular circuit cards capable of interfacing with Motorola SX radios via handset modular cord and capable of wireline inputs utilizing push pin connections with a 600 omhs balanced audio termination; Individually packaged circuit cards will be utilized in groups of three and must fit in an area that is 11"W X 17" L, X 2 3/4" H; Powered by 12 vdc, have a power on switch and indicator; Capable of generating a 224hz (+/- 5hz) tone that begins with presence of receive signal (tone will remain present for 500ms after end of receive activity) and be able to be manually generated for line level adjustments; Receive audio will be set of 0db (externally adjustable from -20db to +5db).
