E-MAIL: NIST Contracts Office, Contract@nist.gov. The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) intends to enter into a sole-source contract with A.G. Davis Gage & Engineering of Sterling Heights, MI for repair of the Advanced Automated Master Angle calibration System (AAMACS) located on-site at NIST in Gaithersburg, MD. The AAMACS is one of only two systems of its type in the world and is manufactured only by A.G. Davis Gage & Engineering. AAMACS is uniquely qualified with sufficient experience with the unit, components, and control system, and in diagnosing the existing unit's failure modes, to perform all necessary repairs on the system. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes. However, interested parties may identify to the Contracting Officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement within 15 days of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
