This is a presolicitation market survey synopsis. No award is intended as a result of this synopsis nor does the Government intend to pay for information received. The U.S. Property and Fiscal Office for Kansas is seeking potential sources to provide commercial item truck parts required for the rebuild of M35A2, M35A2C, and M36A2 -- 2 1/2 ton Military Cargo Trucks. Truck rebuild sites will be located at Fort Riley, Kansas and Camp Shelby, Mississippi. It is anticipated that one or more contractors may have the capability of furnishing new parts on a "just-in-time" basis in support of an annual truck production of 520 trucks per year. A supply services contract(s) with distribution and stockage at task locations (bench stock) is anticipated. Vehicle production is scheduled to begin June 1998. Responsible firms having prior experience and/or capabiliites of providing vehicle parts/logistical services are encouraged to respond to this market survey. Written responses should indicate a contractors priorexperience with similar type support services and/or their capability of providing them.
