Z -- REPAIR ROOF 446 AIRLIFT WING HEADQUARTERS BUILDING 1205 SOL F45603-97-R8033 DUE 072997 POC Terry Seaverns, Contract Specialist (253) 984-3894 or Harold Goodchild, Contracting Officer (253) 984-3878 The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials to remove the existing built-up roofing and insulation on portions of Building 1205 at McChord AFB and replace with a single ply membrane roofing and rigid insulation. Construction of a new roof structure over portions of the building, including metal roofing and steel trusses supported on a new masonry bond beam on the existing parapets. Construction of a covered metal canopy over the entry walkway. Removal of the existing air handling units and replacement with new air handling units and new pad mounted chiller and underground piping. Remove pad mounted transformer, primary and secondary service conductors and replace with new. This project also includes abatement of asbestos containing black and gray tar sealant, roof patches and built up roofing. The magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. Notice to offerors: Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made until funds are available to make payments under a contract. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation either before or after proposal closing with no obligations to the offerors by the Government. There is a fee of $46.18 for this solicitation package. A check or money order payable to The Department of the Air Force must accompany all requests for this solicitation package. (0155)
