NOTICE TO NISE EAST CHARLESTON CONTRACTORS Recently, California and Arizona adopted legislative initiatives authorizing physicians under certain circumstances to recommend or prescribe controlled substances. These new initiatives do not change DoD policy -- the use of Schedule I controlled substances remain a prohibited activity and failure to comply may result in termination of the contract or grant, suspension or debarment from future federal contracts or grants. Contractors are reminded of the requirement of submitting annual employment reports on special disabled veterans and veterans of the Vietnam Era.
