Sought. The Naval Air Systems Command is seeking industry capability
for augmenting the Navy/Marine Corps aircrew tactical training program
beginning in the year 2000. The aircraft maneuvering performance must
have characteristics like the F-14, F-15, F/A-18, MIG-29, SU-27
aircraft categories and must be dissimilar to existing U.S. Navy
Operational aircraft. Aircraft must have a Radar with minimum 35 mile
target lock range with active missile time-out parameters, Radar
Warning Receiver (RWR) and Mission Recording Systems (MRS). Aircrew
must have extensive high performance aircraft tactical ACM training
experience. Operations will be between 10,000 and 11,000 sorties per
year with a sortie duration of 1.0 to 1.2 flight hours. Some multiple
aircraft presentations will be required (2 or 3 aircraft). Navy
provides fuel and hangar space. Interested sources will have an
opportunity to present their capabilities to the Navy during the week
of 7 July 1997 at the NAS, Patuxent River, MD. Additional information
