S -- OPEN-END CONTRACT FOR DRILLING SERVICES SOL DACW49-97-B-0023 DUE 061597 POC Point of Contact -- Contact Point, Barbara Mansfield, Contract Specialist, (716) 879-4256 This contract covers all required subsurface exploration services for the Buffalo District for a one-year period, including, but not limited to: drilling and sampling of soil, rock and concrete, from both land-based plant, and water-based plant; disturbed and undisturbed sampling; field shear strength tests; excavation of test trenches; rock coring installation of piezometers, wellpoints, and monitoring wells; field hydrogeologic test (water pressure, pumping, and permeability tests); environmental sampling (protective clothing in Levels A, B, C or D; proper sampling, packaging and preservation of environmental samples; required documentation/chain of custody when applicable); and geotechnical engineers/geologists for logging explorations and performing required field sampling and testing. The Contractor will perform work under individual Delivery Orders issued by the Buffalo District. Work may be located on dry land, rivers, streams, lakes and/or swamps. Geographic area for work under this contract toinclude the Buffalo District territory (portion of NY, PA and OH) as well as MI, WI, MN and IL.
