331-8500 (Site Code DACW43) The US Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis
District, is in the process of accomplishing a market survey to
prepare for the critical need for new hot- rolled steel sheet piling --
This is a market survey to determine the availability of new hot-rolled
steel sheet piling manufactured in the US which meets the ASTM
requirements for the following steel section types: PZ22, PZ27, PZ35,
PZ40, PSA23, PS27.5, PS31, PLZ23, and PLZ25. There is no known domestic
(U.S. Manufacturer) producer still in operation that produces hot roll
steel sheet piles. This market survey will provide the basis for
gaining a waiver if a particular product is not found to be available
in sufficient quantities. This action is not a request for proposal and
does not commit (the Corps of Engineers) to the procurement of
materials. The specifications for hot-rolled steel sections can be
found in CWGS-02411 Guide Specifications for Civil Works Construction
and is conveniently summarized in Table 1. Suppliers capable of
furnishing the new domestically produced hot-rolled steel sheet piling
should send their response to market survey to USACE, St. Louis
District, ATTN: CEMVS-CT, 1222 Spruce Street, St. Louis, MO 63103-2833

and does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be construed as a
