Wolfe, Jr., Contracting Officer (304) 285-5883 The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Morgantown, WV plans to procure system accessories to be used in conjunction with an X-ray Photoelectron Scanning Auger' System which is currently being used in the NIOSH Exposure Assessment Branch within the HELD laboratories in Morgantown, WV. The specific accessories required shall be compatible with the Auger' system already acquired by NIOSH. The specific accessories are brand name or functional equivalent to the following accessories manufactured by Physical Electronics, Ellicott City, MD: (1) Monochromator X-Ray generator system (Model XR-05); (2) Specimen Neutralizer and control for use with generator system (Model NU-03); (3) Fully Automated Stage, x, y, z, rotation and tilt all under computer control (Model 5702-R); (4) Differential plumbing kit for ion gun (Model 617773); (5) Single Sample Heating and Cooling Module (+1000 to -140 C), (Model SH-13) and (6) Installation of all accessories. Request for Proposal Number 97-012 will be issued on or about June 18, 1997. The solicitation contains the full specifications that must be met by any offer to be considered for award. This procurement action is being issued unrestricted. The small business size standard for this requirement is 500 employees. Only written requests for the solicitation package will be honored.
