The work includes, but is not limited to, replacing runway and
threshold light fixtures and transformers; replace taxiway light
fixtures, medium voltage wiring to runway edge lights, signs and
taxiway lights; replace medium voltage cables from night lighting vault
regulators to all airfield lighting and equipment; replace all runway
distance remaining markers and transformers; replace all lighting
controls; replace all 5KV cable to terminating light bar, threshold and
pre-threshold lights and replace all transformers to the lights;
replace master sequencing timer. Replicate at both ends of the runway
the existing high intensity approach lighting system with a new system
with break away structures. Replace all fixtures and strobes with new
at both ends of the runway. Provide new monitoring for sequence
flashing light fixtures. Provide new duct bank and vault and reroute
existing 13.2 KV feeders through the new duct bank. Acquisition will be
through competitive negotiation procedures with qualified offerors. The
areas of evaluation and their relative rank order is stated in section
M of the solicitation. The government will award a contract resulting
from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms
to the solicitation requirements and will provide the best value to the
government considering Price and Past Performance. Performance period
for this project is 464 calendar days, including projected inclement
weather days. General working hours are weekdays, 7:30 A.M. to 4:30
P.M. excluding federal holidays. There are restrictions on the times
and days work can be performed on the runway and runway approach areas.
Weekend work is required for these areas. The SIC Code is 1731.
Estimated Construction cost is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00
and shall be bid lump sum. The work is located in a restricted and a
controlled area. There are no Government Furnished Materials for this
project. Requests for solicitation packages must be submitted in
writing or by FAX. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which
shall be considered. This acquisition is un-restricted, and will issue
