Contact, Administrative Services, 541/750-7118 The purpose of this
project is to conduct a watershed analysis of the Lower Siuslaw
watershed, a 111,570 acre watershed, which includes a large coastal
estuary and significant tidal influence zone, on the Mapleton Ranger
District of the Siuslaw National Forest (Lane County, Oregon). The
focus of this watershed analysis shall be to prioritize potential
restoration opportunities through an evaluation of current watershed
conditions and an estimation of environmental trends, both positive and
negative. The analysis must be accomplished by a team of resource
specialists who are professionally qualified to assess and interpret
the structure, composition and function of the terrestrial and aquatic
ecosystems within a given watershed. The Contractor shall furnish all
labor, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated
as Government furnished) and incidentals to analyze and portray the
aquatic, riparian, and terrestrial features within the watershed by
using technically rigorous procedures outlined in the Revised Federal
Guide for Watershed Analysis (Aug 1995). A copy will be provided with
the RFQ. Contract time is 120 calendar days after receipt of the Notice
to Proceed. Estimated start work is August 15, 1997. This solicitation
