The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command is contemplating an acquisition for testing and determining performance cost and supportability requirements of the metal matrix track shoe system. Additionally, you will be required to assemble the track shoe bodies and design sprockets that will interface with the metal matrix track system. A 50/50 cost sharing R&D Project Agreement contract is contemplated with a foreign source. It is estimated that each party to the Project Agreement will contribute $430,956 towards the effort and that the total contract cost will be $861,912. The cost basis for evaluating U.S. firms who wish to compete for this requirement will be their cost for competing the entire effort. Firms representing the foreign source will be evaluated at 50% of their cost for competing the effort, due to the 50% cost contribution of their Government. Interested firms with appropriate capabilities and experience that wish to compete for this contract award are invited to submit their qualifications for consideration in this specified R&D effort. This is not a request for proposals nor does the Government intend to pay for the information furnished. Proprietary data will be protected when so designated. Contract award will be in accordance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) Part 225.7008. Closing date for submission of responses is 20 days from publication of this notice.
