modification of the scope of work for this project. The project
consists of the construction of US Route 58 from the Virginia/Tennessee
border towards US Route 25E for approximately 0.5 mile; the
construction of the intersection of North Cumberland Drive with US
Route 58; and the construction of approximately .3 mile of North
Cumberland Drive. Principal items of work include: Embankment
Construction: 132,000 CUYD; Aggregate Base, Grading C or D: 27,000
SQYD; Hot Asphalt Concrete Pavement, Class A, Grading C: 7000 TON.
Invitation for bids will be issued on or about May 2, 1997 with Bid
Opening being conducted on or about June 3, 1997. All other information
