S. Fire Administration (USFA) has a requirement to update and revise the Guide to Funding Alternatives for Fire and Emergency Medical Services Departments. This update and revision shall be designed to provide both the local-level fire and EMS department the most current and innovative information on funding alternatives. It is essential that the update and revision of this guide provide equal investigation and discussion of the most current and innovative funding alternatives for both the fire service and the EMS area. The update and revision of this guide cannot be slanted toward only one of these two areas. Further, the update and revision of this guide must be designed to effectively serve career, combination, and volunteer fire departments as well as EMS organizations. The period of performance of the resulting contract will be from date of award through eight (8) months. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated.
