Y -- SECTION 103 SHORE PROTECTION PROJECT, HIGHWAY 187 AND REVETMENT CONSTRUCTION, PINONES, PUERTO RICO SOL DACW17-97-B-0016 DUE 092597 POC Contract Specialist Bob Nichols (904) 232-3712 (Site Code DACW17) The work consists of constructing a 4,400 feet long 2-lane detour road, reconstructing the 2-lane Highway 187 on top a new 4,100 feet long fill section and armoring the reconstructed Highway 187 fill section with about 30,000 cubic yards of armor stone. There are about 35,000 cubic yards of unclassified excavation and approximately 64,000 cubic yards of required fill. The reconstructed Highway 187 will require excavation and fill in the active wave zone. Work also includes utility relocations, turfing, and mangrove mitigation construction. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Pre-Solicitation Notice will be issued on or about 27 May 97. Invitation DACW17-97-B-0016 will be issued on or about 11 Aug 97 and opened on or about 25 Sept 97. Cost of Plans and Specifications is $40.00.
