Bureau of Prisons seeks bids for construction services for a new
Federal Prison Camp near Victorville, California. Invitation for Bid
(IFB) Number X00-0307. The successful bidder will be required to
furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to complete a minimum
security Federal Prison Camp. The construction includes, but is not
limited to, utilities, sitework and building construction for
approximately 11,150 square meters (120,000 square feet) of one level
buildings in a campus plan arrangement. This project is designed using
metric systems of measurement. The estimated price range for this
project is more than $10,000,000. All related work for the construction
contract must be completed within 450 calendar days after issuance of
a formal notice to proceed. Documents will be available on or about
June 18, 1997. The documents may be obtained from the architectural
firm, Kaplan/McLaughlin/Diaz, 222 Vallejo St., San Francisco, CA.
