Metzger (803) 751-2589 (Site Code DABT47) Includes all equipment and materials, labor, and supervision to provide postwide refuse collection services at Fort Jackson, SC. Services include the following: curbside pick-up once-per-week at 1,270 residences in the family housing area (approx. 1,500 tons per year) using Government- furnished roll-cart containers, and maintain and replace roll-carts as necessary; once-per-week pick-up for approx. 41 litter containers; once- per-week curbside pick-up of compostable materials in the family housing area, to include limbs, leaves, pine needles, etc. and delivery to on-post composting site; lease of 3 ea 40 CY open-top containers with once-per- week pick-up; maintain 308 ea 6 CY/8 CY dumpsters; replace approx. 12 ea 6 CY and 62 8 CY dumpsters per year, as required; and pick-up of 308 dumpsters with various pick-up schedules (approx. 7,900 tons per year). All refuse must be disposed of at off-post landfill. Period of performance is 01 October 1997, or date of award if later, through 30 September 1998, plus four option years. Approximate date of release is 01 July 97. Solicitation will be issued under competitive 8(a) procedures.
