Work shall include, but not limited to demolition, replacement of elevator cab doors, interiors, painting, vinyl flooring, laminated plastic wall panels, miscellaneous metal and other finish materials; replacement of electric traction elevator control systems, fire protection and communication systems, upgrading of motors and hoisting equipment; structural design work, structural steel seismic bracing of supports, guide rails and other components in elevator shafts and machine rooms, mechanical and electrical work; testing, and training of elevator maintenance personnel, all in strict accordance with specifications and drawings. Construction cost estimate is $500,000 to $1,000,000. The solicitation shall be issued on or about June 12, 1997. A non-mandatory site visit has been scheduled for June 26, 1997 @9am local time. The proposed contract listed herein is unrestricted. All requests for solicitation packages (one each per contractor) must be made in writing and include a non-refundable check or money order in the amount of $25.00.
