A solicitation notice will be published before invitations are issued. The scope of work consists of the Contractor to furnish all labor, material, equipment and supplies necessary for the revitalization of an existing Aircraft Maintenance Hangar into an Aircraft Fuel Cell Facility located at March Air Reserve Base, (Riverside County) California. Work includes but is not limited to, mechanical and electrical equipment, piping, concrete and masonry, structural, ventilation, fore protection modifications, and demolition of existing structures and related work. The magnitude of proposed construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. 20% Bid Bond requirement; Davis-Bacon wage rates applicable; liquidated damages are $295.00 per day; 60 day bid acceptance. Contract performance is 270 calendar days. This solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about 17 June 1997; Bid opening is scheduled on or about 17 July 1997. This solication is advertised as an unrestricted procurement. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1541 and the applicable small business size standard (including affiliates) is $17 milliion average revenue for the previous three years. Plans, specifications, and bid documents are available at a non-refundable charge of $65.00 per set. A certified check or money order must be made out to "USPFO for California". Company checks are not acceptable. All requests must be in writing and indicate business size and minority status. Telephonic requests will not be accepted.
