NAVSTAR GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS) PRECISE POSITIONING SERVICE (PPS) MANUFACTURERS & INTEGRATORS CONFERENCE The NAVSTAR Global Positioning System (GPS) Joint Program Office (JPO) is hosting a GPS Precise Positioning Service (PPS) Manufacturers & Integrators Conference from 17-19 June 97. All manufacturers & integrators of GPS PPS Host Application Equipment (HAE) are invited to attend this conference, which will be sponsored by the Systems Analysis & Requirements Branch of the Systems Engineering Division (SMC/CZEA). The intent of this conference is to provide GPS PPS manufacturers/integrators the security policies and procedures regarding developing, designing, and marketing GPS PPS products to the U.S. Government and Department of Defense authorized end users, both foreign and domestic. The schedule for the conference is as follows: (17-18 June) The GPS JPO will present specific guidance on DoD GPS PPS security policy, the GPS PPS HAE Security Approval process, rules for obtaining GPS PPS HAE, and foreign marketing [0830 until 1630, 17 June; 0830 until 1300, 18 June]; (18-19 June) Private meetings between the GPS JPO and manufacturers/integrators to discuss their unique GPS PPS HAE end items by appointment [1300 until 1630, 18 June; 0830 until 1630, 19 June]. The conference will be held at Fort Mac Arthur in the Community Center Ballroom, 2400 Pacific Avenue, Building 403, San Pedro CA 90731. GPS JPO briefings to industry will be held at the For Official Use Only (FOUO) classification level and attendance is restricted to U.S. citizens who are employees of authorized GPS PPS HAE manufacturers/integrators only.
