20535-0001 99 -- MISCELLANEOUS-SERVICE AWARD KEYS, PLAQUES AND BADGES!! SOL
RFP-7077 POC Darlene W. Robinson, Contract Specialist, 202-324-5818 The
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to solicit proposals for
the following commercial items: FBI Service Award Keys; Retirement
Plaques and Special Agent Badges. This will be a 100% set-aside for
Small Business, multi-award, FOB Destination. The contract type is Firm
Fixed Price-Indefinite Quantity with award year and 4 one year option
years. The estimated solicitation release date is June 20, 1997. The
minimum salient characteristics for each of the following: FBI Service
Award Key -- The keys are to be made of 10k yellow gold, free of pits
and scales; the weight of each key shall be 4.65 grams plus or minus
one percent; the weight not to include jump rings; all keys are to be
furnished with a jump ring made of 10k yellow gold. FBI Retirement
Plaque -- A shadow box frame made of basswood; stained medium walnut
and has a black accent line on top; the frame has two rabbets cut out
-- one for the press board insert and one for the gator board back;
outside shall be measurements: 13x 9- 9/16 and the plaques will have
certain retirement items mounted on to the front. FBI Special Agent
Badge -- Badges are to have curvature of 1/16 of an inch; the entire
badge is to be 14k gold filled including the pin and the safety catch;
must be manufactured with 12 gauge stock with the finished products
being no less than 14 gauge; the badge shall have a solid back; each
badge must be equipped with genuine jewelers' hard-soldered joint pin
and revolving safety catch, all parts of the badge shall be gold
plated; all lettering and the design on the front of the badge are to
be in relief; beveled edges are to be polished; badges must be numbered
consecutively (the beginning and ending number will be furnished with
each delivery order) on the reverse side; depth of the number shall be
a minimum of 1/32 of an inch and the numbers shall be at least 3/16 of
an inch high minimum. Lettering on the front of each badge must be hand
lapped. The die plates will be furnished by the FBI. Diagrams of the
award keyand retirement plaque will be supplied. All requests for
solicitation (RFP-7077) must be in writing and contains the "terms and
conditions" for products. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED.
