N/A Acquisition Strategy Conference. WR-ALC/LFKB is conducting an Aquisition Strategy Conference on 11 Jun 97 to be held in Building 300, East Wing, LFI Conference Room at 9:00 a.m. The purpose of this meeting is to provide an opportunity for early industry involvement in the Government's proposed approach for acquiring an automated paint capability for F-15 sized aircraft. This capability includes interating, installing, testing and operating an automatic painting system consisting of robotics manipulator(s), paint mixing system, and paint dispensing system to apply the necessary protective coating to F-15A-E and similar acft with a minimum of manual intervention and will require an initial investment by the contractor. The proposed program duration will be between 5 and 10 years. The contractor will be required to integrate and operate their automated painting system in an existing USAF facility constructed to meet Class 1, Division 1, explosion-proof requirements of the National Electric Code. Attendance is limited to three persons per contractor. In addition to the group discussion, interested parties will be afforded an opportunity for a one-on-one meeting with the Government Program Team on 12 Jun 97. These meetings will be limited to 30 minutes per contractor. These individual meetings must be requested no later than close of business 30 May 97. To be eligible for the individual meeting you must attend the group forum. The purpose of this acquisition strategy conference is not to obtain proposals, but is solely to offer early industry involvement in a contemplated Air Force acquisition. Attendance does not guarantee that any offerors will be considered for award if a solicitation results. Accordingly, the Govenment is under no obligation to reimburse any source for attendance at this meeting or for any bid and/or proposal costs incurred in preparation of same.
