Y -- CONSTRUCTION OF THREE PRE-ENGINEERED BUILDINGS FOR GROUNDWATER TREATMENT UNITS SOL F40650-97-Q-0041 DUE 062697 POC Tony Clayborne, Contracting Officer, (615) 454-7841 This requirement is for providing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct three pre-engineered metal buildings at Arnold AFB TN. These buildings will house existing hazardous waste treatment facilities and will serve primarily to provide freeze protection. Building #1 is a 20 X 33 foot (nominal) pre-engineered metal building with a 10 foot minimum eave height. Major work elements will include the following: (1) removal and reinstallation of approximately 50 feet of chain link fencing as required to facilitate construction of concrete foundation and building; (2) construction of concrete foundation around existing 16 X 26 foot slab to support building; (3) construction of building including all structural steel framing, exterior metal panels, access doors, insulation, and roof vents; (4) providing exterior openings for exhaust fans and intake louvers. Building #2 is a 26 X 37 foot (nominal) pre-engineered metal building with a 16 foot minimum eave height. Major work elements will include the following: (1) construction of concrete foundation around existing 23 X 33 foot slab to support building; (2) construction of building including all structural steel framing, exterior metal panels, access doors, insulation, and roof vents; (3) providing exterior openings for exhaust fans and intake louvers. Building #3 is a 32 X 60 foot (nominal) pre-engineered metal building with a 18 foot minimum eave height. Major work elements will include the following: (1) construction of concrete foundation around existing 27.5 X 43 foot slab to support building; (2) construction of building including all structural steel framing, exterior metal panels, access doors, insulation, and roof vents; (3) providing exterior openings for exhaust fans and intake louvers. The contract performance period will be 60 calendar days after issuance of notice to proceed. The estimated magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. Any responsible source may submit a bid which shall be considered. Firms responding to this synopsis should do so in writing and indicate whether or not they are a minority business concern.
