Sources Sought -- This sources sought synopsis is to develop a list of potential qualified 'AIRCRAFT STATIC DISPLAY' painting/restoration contractors in the event funding should become available. It should be understood that such funding is not presently available. Should funding become available, a list of potential sources would expedite processing of any solicitation. Non-personal service to include all materials, tools, parts, labor, and transportion necessary for painting/repairing of static display aircraft in accordance with a detailed statement of work. All repair/painting shall be completed on-site, as is, where is. In some cases this will require the use of equipment such as a cherry picker or high-lift suitable for reaching heights of approximately sixty (60) feet. Method and paint used must provide an outdoor life of 5-7 years or greater. Authenticity of military colors and markings are a must due to the historical nature of exhibits. Static displays shall require surface preparation (scuff sanding/feathering) prior to painting. In some cases, minor corrosion work may be required prior to painting. Potential sources must be experienced in providing 'museum quality' work and provide samples and references. Based on availability of funding, work may consist of one, some, or all exhibits. Static displays consist of the following aircraft: LOCKHEED EC-121T WARNING STAR (SUPER CONSTELLATION), CONSOLIDATED F-102A DELTA DAGGER, LOCKHEED F-104C STAR FIGHTER, MCDONNELL-DOUGLAS F-101B VOODOO, REPUBLIC P-47N THUNDERBOLT, LOCKHEED T-33A SHOOTING STAR, LOCKHEED F-94C STARFIRE, NORTH AMERICAN F-86L SABRE DOG, MCDONNELL-DOUGLAS F-4C PHANTOM II, CONVAIR F-106A DELTA DART, MCDONNELL-DOUGLAS CF-101B VOODOO, AVRO CF-100 CANUCK, MARTIN EB-57B CANBERRA, MCDONNELL-DOUGLAS F-15A EAGLE.
