This is a combined synopsis/ solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being presented and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is 100% total small business set -- aside under the standard industrial classification code 5046 and a $.5 mil small business size standard. Only responsible small business concerns that submit a quote which, if timely received, shall be considered for award. This solicitation is issued as an invitation for bid with F6550397B0018 as the bid number. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46 dated 07 May 97. The government contemplates award of Indefinite DeliveryIndefinite Quantity contract resulting from this solicitation with a period of performance starting at contract award date through 30 Sep 97 and no option years. Obligatory Quantity: 500 ea) In accordance with FAR Clause 52.216-19, Order Limitations, The Government is not obligated to purchase, nor is the contractor obliigated to furnish, those supplies less than the MIN. Obligatory Quantity. Specifications: 1. MATERIAL -- All shelving products shall be constructed of Grade C-1008 bright, basic, cold-drawn steel wire with minimum tensil strength of 100,000 psi. All steel wires shall be resistance welded at intersection of cross deck wire. Deck spacing shall be on no less than 1" increments. Tight mesh is 1/2". Cross deck wires trimmed smooth. 2. FINISH -- Materials shall be clean and covered with an iron phosphate coating to ensure a proper bond with the finished coat. Finish coat shall be an epoxy-polyester hybrid powder coating between 3-5 mm thick. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: Wire shelving finish shall be non toxic and environmentally sound in both raw and finished states. 3. MOUNTING HARDWARE -- Components shall provide for shelving installation to drywall without requiring mounting to concealed wall structual members. 4. WIRE GAUGE -- Front longitudinal wires on shelf and rod shall be a minimum .306 gauge. Back and middle longitudinal wires on shelf and rod shall be minimum .225. All deck wires shall be minimum of .105 gauge. All clauses and provisions incorporated in this document by reference have the same force and effect as if they were in full text. Evaluation for award will be based on price and price related factors. ORDERING, DELIVERY, AND INVOICING PROCEDURES I. ORDERING 1. Contractor shall be available during mormal business hours. 2. All (IDIQ) Delivery orders will be placed by the contracting office and will include the quantity of the desired CLIN. II. DELIVERY SCHEDULE 1. As a minimum, contractor shall deliver ordered number of shelving kits twice weekly to Eielson AFB. III. INVOICING 1. Contractor shall have fax capability. 2. Contractor shall invoice monthly for number and type of shelving kits ordered. The contract will have a period of performance from contract award date through 30 Sep 97 with no option years.
