The Department of the Navy, Naval, Command, Control, and Ocean Surveillance Center, Research, Development, Test and Evaluation Division (NCCOSC RDTE Div), San Diego, CA has a requirement for engineering, fabrication, integration, installation support services for Navy militarized and commercial off the Shelf (COTS) communications systems. These communication systems are: high frequency, fiber optic, digital, data transmission, information exchange, satellite communications (SATCOM) systems, and supporting space and terrestrial connectivity. SATCOM systems are: very high frequency (VHF), ultra high frequency (UHF), super high frequency (SHF), extremely high frequency (EHF) and television receive only (TVRO). Technical support shall include: engineering design services, technical evaluations, laboratory support, limited incidental COTS equipment acquisition, modification, fabrication, integration, installation service and logistics support for above systems. Work may be required at shore facilities or shipboard. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will be a cost plus award fee, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract consisting of a one year base period and four one-year option periods with an estimated 475,000 man hours for the base period.
