Phillips, Contracting Officer, (703)756-4181 The General Services Administration (GSA) intends to extend its Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMC) Contract for the Office of Finance (BC) ADP Support for the National Electronic Accounting Reporting System (NEAR) for an additional 24 months, July 1, 1997 through June 30, 1999. The Office of Finance has a requirement for continuous ADP support of the same quality and capabilities for the NEAR System for twenty four months. The NEAR System operates on LMC mainframe services. The NEAR system currently uses LMC's proprietary code called BRIDGE, BRUCE, FORTRAN developed interface, IBM proprietary Display Management System (DMS) screen developer and Honeywell's DMIV calls from the COBOL programs. The resources of the real machine and the Virtual Machine Conversational Monitor System (VM/CMS), run under the IBM Control Program (CP). REXX is the control language used. Approximately 70% COBOL, 30% ORACLE with over 1200 programs and more than 1,200,000 lines of code. Due to the fact that the NEAR System is critical to GSA's mission, it must continue its operation without any disruption, degradation or delays of any nature.
